Insurance Office Administrative Assistant / Underwriting Support
About Us:
We are an insurance brokerage firm with over 30 years of experience serving the Flushing, Queens community. Our office provides a wide range of insurance services including individual and group health insurance, property & casualty (P&C), life insurance, retirement plans, and auto insurance.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and bilingual (Korean/English) candidate to support our team. The role includes administrative office duties as well as assisting with underwriting and insurance processing.
Responsibilities:
Provide general office administrative support
Prepare, review, and process insurance applications and renewals
Assist with underwriting support tasks
Maintain accurate records and follow up with clients as needed
Communicate with clients via phone, email, and in person
Perform other office-related tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Bilingual in Korean and English (written and verbal)
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Prior office or insurance-related experience preferred, but not required
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Schedule & Compensation:
Full-time or part-time; flexible hours negotiable
Compensation based on experience; to be discussed during interview
